swimming is an extremely tough sport, and to swim well you need to eat well! you need to know that nutrition plays a critical role in performance in the pool, just as important a factor as your sleeping habits! here are some tips to help you keep nutritious and healthy

1. WATER WATER WATER - in a tough training session, heated environment and loads of exercise, you use your body's water supply very quickly. to swim well you need to keep hydrated by drinking water very often. 

​

2. if you are swimming in the morning, you need to be fuelded. here are some nutritious find ideas to keep you fuelled before morning training - smoothies, toast, energy bars or gels, fruit and cereal.

3. after your swim, you need to refuel yourself appropriately. some good recovery meals are: Eggs, Milk, Meat, Fish, Soy products, Whole grains, Nuts, Fruit, Vegetables, Beans and other nutritious substances. 

​

4. All in all, try to keep a BALANCED DIET. that is there best way for a swimmer to keep refuelled but not bloated so they can keep fit. follow these tips and you will become even better at swimming!
